This is the driver's side door post. There's a medium size, smooth dent in the door moulding. The front door must have opened up too far and hit the back door handle. It's too deep to cover with filler, so I'll try to smooth it out. |

The problem is accessing that part of the door from the inside. In 1934, Ford and Chevy didn't have much support to the body panels. It was basically just wood covered in a sheet metal skin. Plymouth was one of the few car builders with steel supported doors. There was some wood in this car, but it was mostly for nailing up the upholstery, not for supporting the shape of the car. So to get to this dent, I had to drill a small hole, and bang on it with a rod. In this case, I used the steel rod that I turned into a tile morter mixer by welding on 2 large drill bits. Just slide it in the hole, and whack the other end with a hammer. |

I got most of the dent knocked out. I'll come back with a body hammer and smooth it back down a little later. |
